I've been an artist all my life, and am currently a graphic designer. I was a potter for many years, but about 6 years ago decided to try something new. When I discovered lampwork, I was immediately hooked. Glass is a lot of fun to work with, and very direct. It can take minutes or hours to make a single bead, and the total concentration required takes me away to a special place where nothing exists beyond my torch.
Faced with mountains of beads, I decided to try making jewelry with them. Jewelry making taxes a different part of the brain than bead making, and for me is more challenging, but ultimately just as rewarding. I hope you enjoy my efforts.
